Hi
I don't recall this error. You need to edit makefile to fix it. But if you ask such simple questions I guess it won't be easy for you to get it working. In fact I even hesitated to answer such simple question.
Thanks.

Hi,

I tried to build u-boot for x86 as per your instruction but I am getting error as below, can you please tell me how did you do it? I am using version "u-boot-main" from the git.

eNET.c:182:6: error: variable ‘major’ set but not used [-Werror=unused-but-set-variable]
cc1: all warnings being treated as errors

make[1]: *** [eNET.o] Error 1

I'm a fan of TinyCore too, but I think that vendors are probably using filo or SeaBIOS for their disk services. SeaBIOS is the most flexible and has the most support for arbitrary OS images.

What kinds of payloads are vendors shipping with their products? I'd be thrilled to see a TinyCoreLinux or MicroCoreLinux implementation integrated onto PC motherboard BIOSes as an option.

Do you believe in "miracles" ?

- If your question is about a product -> it is about bussiness
- if it is about bussiness -> it is about money
- if it is about money -> it is either expensive or secret !

I doubt you will ever get a fair answer on your question !
Exception: you BUY it.

Sorry for being so pessimistic, but this is what life
has taught me.

May the source be with you ...

Dear Dorileo,

thank you for the quick reply.

1. Doing your homework before bothering others is a good attitude I try to follow too.

2. Not all people are using IRC. More people use mailing lists.

3. Could you please publish a Git repository, so one can see why you made certain changes and so on? Gitorious or GitHub let you do that.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Thank you for commenting.

I also think it could be different, I used to ask for help on IRC what I felt to be more real time but really I could have interacted more.

I tend to work out the most I can before asking anything, I don`t like to see I`ve disturbed someone before I get my own job done, I must do my home work before :)

I`ve uploaded here[1] my layer - earlier this week. There`re already some changes I`ve done afterwards but it represents the most of my work.

Again, thank you so much for taking some time to comment.
